On the 70th anniversary of the founding of Beijing Technology and Business University, in response to the enthusiasm of our teachers and students for academic research, the University held a series of sophisticated academic forums and invited many experts to exchange and study with our teachers and students. On the afternoon of October 23, the Business School hosted an academic forum entitled Beijing Advanced Discipline Innovation Forum II: New Retail and New Marketing in the Transforming Environment. Other schools hosting the forum were the Renmin University of China, University of International Business and Economics, and Capital University of Economics and Business. The forum was held in the Fucheng Road Campus of BTBU. It was co-chaired by Professor Mao Xinshu, Dean of Business School of our university, and Professor Chen Deqiu, President of the International Business School of the University of International Business and Economics. More than 100 teachers and students of the Business School attended.

The successfully held academic forum is of great significance to the development of retail and marketing disciplines in our university. The academic reports made by professors from many well-known universities can help our teachers and students understand more comprehensively the academic frontier and industry trends in the retail field, explore scientific research ideas, and stimulate inspiration for scientific research. Professor Liu Wengang of our university introduced the academic research achievements of his team at the meeting, which was affirmed and praised by colleagues in other universities. It’s believed that we will get more opportunities for academic exchange and cooperation with the external world in the future and effectively develop the advantageous traditional disciplines of our university.
