On March 19 2019, at the invitation of the Business School, Professor Chen Yangyang gave an academic report entitled "Captured by Mutual Funds: Do Cross-Audits Undermine Auditor Independence?" This academic exchange was held in conference room 501 in the Multiple-Use Building and presided over by Professor Mao Xinshu, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Business School. Some faculty members from the Department of Finance and Accounting in the Business School and some graduate students from the Department of Accounting and the Department of Finance Management were in attendance.
Dr. Chen has abundant academic achievements. His main research interests are in the field of corporate finance and financial accounting, including management compensation, enterprise innovation, audit quality and pricing, earnings management, stock price crash risk, etc. So far, he has published 18 papers in The Accounting Review, Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Contemporary Accounting Research, Review of Accounting Studies and some other top international journals. Meanwhile, he is also a the reviewer of the Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Business Finance and Accounting, Journal of Financial Markets; Journal of Accounting, Auditing, and Finance, Journal of International Financial Management and Accounting Journal of Contemporary Accounting and Economics, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Banking and Finance, Financial Management, Pacific-Basin Finance Journal, Accounting and Finance, International Review of Finance, etc.
