On November 25, the 2023 Annual Meeting of the National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Alliance of Finance and Economics Colleges and Universities, along with the finals of the eighth National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition for these institutions, was held at Jiangxi Vocational College of Finance and Economics under the guidance of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Steering Committee from the Ministry of Education. Professor Zuo Min, a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of our university, was invited to attend the opening ceremony where he delivered a keynote address at the President's Forum. During this annual meeting, Professor Zuo Min received the 2023 Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Contribution Award.
At the Principals' Forum, Professor Zuo presented a keynote speech titled "Reflections on Digital Transformation in Business Education." His report examined new requirements, trends, opportunities, and challenges associated with digital transformation strategies in higher education. He identified three critical issues that must be addressed during this transition while emphasizing our university’s initiative to establish a Digital Future Center aimed at transforming business education digitally. This includes developing a personalized talent innovation training model for business students as well as creating an integrated platform for smart education. He shared insights into our institution's innovative practices regarding digital curriculum systems—such as enhancing teaching scenarios, expanding digital resources for courses, promoting adaptive learning methodologies—from strategic planning through implementation stages. In conclusion, Professor Zuo extended an invitation to colleges nationwide to engage in discussions about future prospects in digital business with hopes to foster collaboration among institutions while jointly exploring practical applications related to digital transformation.
Professor Wang Nan, Director of the Digital Business Practice Teaching Center also attended Dean's Forum where he presented his keynote report entitled "Innovations in Training Models for Digital Business Talent," showcasing our university’s pioneering efforts in cultivating talent within this field.
In addition to these discussions at The Eighth National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition Finals among Finance and Economics Universities; three teams from Business School distinguished themselves by securing top honors: “New Machine for Plastic Production” (Instructors: Li Gang; Weng Yunxuan; Wu Yue), “Red Star Reyao” (Instructors: Wu Yue; Wang Nan; Ma Huijun), and “Jing Wine Ceaselessly” (Instructors: Huang Mingquan; Wu Yue; Wang Nan). These projects excelled amidst nearly one thousand national entries ultimately achieving first prize (national level), second prize (national level), as well as third prize (national level).
Representatives from finance-related academic institutions across China expressed high regard for—and strong interest in—the experiences garnered through Beijing Technology and Business University’s "Digital Business" program. Numerous universities conveyed their aspirations towards establishing deeper collaborative relationships with us moving forward. Gai Xiaoqing—Dean of School Innovations & Entrepreneurial Education—as well as Ma Huijun from Artificial Intelligence School alongside Wu Yue representing School Of Business were present during this event.
