Business school teachers were invited to attend the academic forum on Cultural tourism development

From December 9 to 10, 2023, the "2023 Academic Forum on High-quality Development of Characteristic Cultural Tourism" sponsored by Heilongjiang University and hosted by the School of History and Culture Tourism of the School was held in Harbin. Associate Professor Gong Kedi of Tourism Management Department of our College was invited to attend the conference and gave an academic speech entitled "Integration of Rural Culture and Tourism: A Path of Civilization Change".


In the in-depth study and implementation of General Secretary Xi Jinping's inspection of Heilongjiang and presided over the convening of a new era to promote the comprehensive revitalization of the Northeast Symposium on the spirit of the important speech, the academic forum was held at the right time, is of great significance, is to comprehensively implement the General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speeches on the work of culture and tourism in Heilongjiang important instructions of the specific action, for the development of Heilongjiang characteristics of the culture and tourism to contribute to the academic thinking, and promote the construction of cultural tourism with characteristics of Dragon River. Promote the construction of culture and tourism industry with the characteristics of Longjiang, and help Heilongjiang to build ‘green mountains are gold and silver mountains, ice and snow are also gold and silver mountains’ of the faithful practice place.


During the academic report exchange session following the opening ceremony, Associate Professor Gong Kedi approached the topic from a distinctive perspective that encompasses various forms of social civilization and labor production relations. He articulated a logical framework connecting 'ecological civilization - social civilization - institutional civilization' to elucidate the developmental context of rural tourism both domestically and internationally. Furthermore, he analyzed and synthesized the interplay between cultural tourism and models of integrated rural cultural tourism. Ultimately, he emphasized that the integration of rural culture with tourism is poised to emerge as a persistent research focal point in light of the strategic objectives associated with rural revitalization.
        Participation in such academic forums enables our colleges faculty not only to enhance the visibility of our business program development but also to effectively showcase our institution's remarkable achievements in digital transformation within business education. Additionally, it fosters positive contributions towards strengthening school-enterprise collaborations, empowering high-quality local cultural tourism initiatives characterized by regional uniqueness, thereby collectively advancing local economic growth.
