In line with the school's ideological and political education program, Business School will implement morning reading and exercise activities for 2023 undergraduate freshmen from October 10 to November 16. The launch ceremony for the "Meeting Morning Sun" initiative was held at 7:00 am on October 10 in the playground of Liangxiang Campus's west district, attended by Zhang Qian, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, and counselor Yan Huiran, with counselor Wang Linfei presiding.
During the ceremony, Counselor Wang Linfei explained the rules and evaluation criteria for both morning reading and exercise activities, encouraging freshmen to participate actively.
Zhang Qian affirmed participating students' efforts and urged them to embrace physical exercise to improve their fitness levels. She shared two hopes for the Class of 2023: first, that classes organize morning reading and exercise sessions as a way to strengthen class cohesion; second, that new students adopt a positive attitude towards integrating these activities into campus life as part of their personal development—cultivating good habits that foster resilience while becoming outstanding students of Business School. Finally, she announced the official start of these activities.
The head of Sports Department distributed sports equipment among classes while guiding various athletic activities such as running drills, jump rope exercises, and shuttlecock kicking. Students participated enthusiastically in these half-hour workouts.
Business School have traditionally emphasized morning reading alongside physical activity. Following an official notice about this initiative from school administration, student work offices efficiently formulated programs and strategies—drafting implementation measures along with evaluation guidelines—and maintained communication across stakeholders ensuring organized support for launching this endeavor.
It is expected that students will appreciate this opportunity presented by combining morning reading with physical activity; thus reinforcing their commitment to regular exercise which enhances academic performance while fostering lifelong learning habits essential for continuous growth throughout life!
