Business School co-organized a high-end forum on Chinese modernization and business administration innovation

From October 13 to 14, 2023, the 'High-end Forum on Chinese Modernization and Business Administration Discipline Innovation' and the '8th Annual Conference of the Business Administration Discipline Review Group 2023' took place in Beijing. Sponsored by the Eighth Business Administration Discipline Review Group of the Academic Degrees Committee of The State Council, it was hosted by the International Business School at UIBE and co-organized with Business School Beijing Technology and Business University.

Tang Jiwei, first-class inspector of the Department of Degree Management and Graduate Education of the Ministry of Education, Zhang Zongyi, president of Xiamen University and convenor of the Eighth Review Group of Business Administration of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, Yi Zhihong, former vice-president of Renmin University of China, Yang Bin, vice-president of Tsinghua University and secretary general of the Eighth Review Group of Business Administration of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, and members of the Eighth Review Group of Business Administration of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, some More than 100 people attended the meeting, including deans of Business School of famous universities and representatives of young scholars. Professor Mao Xinshu, dean of Graduate School, Professor He Yurun, dean of Business School, and the heads of each major of Business Administration and some teachers of Business School were invited to attend the meeting.


In morning sessions, speeches were given by Tang Jiwei; Huang Baoyin from UIBE; and Zhang Zongyi. Members from the Eighth Evaluation Group delivered keynote addresses on leveraging business administration for Chinese modernization while promoting national development. They discussed building a robust system for business administration disciplines along with future transformation directions and nurturing innovative talents within this field based on Chinese management principles. Together they explored strategies to understand essential requirements for Chinese-style modernization while advancing an independent knowledge system relevant to China's business administration discipline—ultimately supporting its high-quality development.

The afternoon sessions centred on discipline construction and business talent cultivation respectively. In the Accounting, Finance and Technical Economics and Management sub-forum, Professor Mao Xinshu, Dean of the Graduate School of Beijing Technology and Business University, made a keynote sharing and exchange titled ‘Communication on Discipline Construction of Beijing Technology and Business University’. In the Business Talent Cultivation Forum, Professor He Yurun, Dean of Business School Beijing Technology and Business University, shared the practice and experience of cultivating new business talents under the background of digital transformation with the theme of Exploring the Cultivation of New Business Talents under Digital Transformation.


The collaboration between Business School Beijing Technology and Business University and UIBE's International Business School aims to establish advanced frameworks within business administration disciplines. Co-hosting this prestigious conference marks a significant step toward joint disciplinary development between both institutions. The successful execution of this event is expected to enhance high-quality growth in business administration fields while influencing contemporary talent cultivation strategies.
