On October 18, 2023, to further implement the school's strategic initiatives of "strengthening business, refining engineering practices, integrating business with industry, and driving progress through dual approaches," the Business School and Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence successfully hosted the "Business Integration - Double Innovation Competition" alongside the eighth National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition for Financial and Economic Colleges at Beijing Technology and Business University's main campus in Liangxiang. This competition serves as a platform that highlights the unique characteristics of finance and economics disciplines while fostering innovation and entrepreneurial skills among students. Since its inception in 2016, it has been held seven times with significant influence across national institutions.
        The event was co-organized by both schools. Attendees included Yang Hua (Deputy Director of Academic Affairs), Fu Shilun (Secretary of Party Committee for Business School), He Meng (Secretary of Party Committee for Computer Science), Zhang Qian (Deputy Secretary for Business School), Lian Xiaoqin (former Vice President of Artificial Intelligence School), Wang Yu from Electronic Information Department, Xiao Hongbing from Electronic Information's Party Branch; Xu Zhengda from International Exchange Office within Business School; Ma Huijun from former Assistant Director Wu Yue overseeing entrepreneurship education courses; along with Zheng Guifang from Computer Science’s experimental team—all providing guidance during this event. The competition was moderated by Wang Nan, Vice Dean of Business School.

        Yang Hua opened proceedings emphasizing that this competition aims to invigorate student enthusiasm towards innovation within finance-related colleges while aligning with strategic measures favoring integrated business models. Fu Shilun followed up highlighting their collaborative initiative as practical efforts toward advancing a new model combining industrial development with economic management aimed at nurturing versatile talents equipped with commercial acumen alongside technological capabilities. This collaboration broadens students' knowledge while cultivating innovative talent proficient in both domains contributing positively to developments amid today’s digital economy. He Meng officially announced that Beijing Technology and Business University’s “Business Integration - Double Innovation Competition” along with eighth iteration National Finance & Economics College Contest had commenced.

        Ma Huijun presided over judging processes detailing competitive formats which include three tracks: Entrepreneurial track, Creative track, Public Welfare Track. Evaluation criteria encompass project presentations followed by on-site defenses leading ultimately to selection recommendations comprising three projects per category advancing into upcoming national competitions. Seventeen exemplary teams showcased innovations spanning diverse sectors including commerce, healthcare, biotechnology culture focusing on themes like environmental sustainability social responsibility modern technology food safety cultural heritage rural revitalization etc., each presenting via five-minute pitches succeeded by three-minute defense sessions prompting discussions amongst judges regarding merits thereof .

        Innovation embodies wisdom whilst entrepreneurship signifies enterprise ; thus culminating under public scrutiny “Business Integration –Double Innovations Competitions ”and eighth edition National Finance and Economics College contests concluded successfully offering platforms showcasing learning opportunities stimulating scientific creativity igniting passions surrounding entrepreneurial endeavors aiding institutionally trained future tech-savvy leaders adeptly navigating evolving landscapes ahead! Although events have drawn closure spirits remain undeterred whether traversing realms pertaining either businesses or sciences, we require individuals emboldened enough pursue novel ideas unafraid experimentation! Moving forward our college shall optimize utilization existing frameworks sharing outcomes across various disciplines actively promoting cross-disciplinary integration thereby collectively enhancing respective fields!
