On the morning of May 26th, the Business School and the Digital Business and Capital Development Innovation Center jointly organized a seminar on the academic development and digital transformation of Beijing’s business administration discipline. Cui Zhanhui, Vice Chairman of the Beijing Federation of Social Sciences, Zhang Tao, Deputy Director of the Academic Activities Department, and leading experts from 14 business schools of universities in Beijing were invited to attend the event. Huang Xiankai, the Secretary of BTBU’s Party Committee, Gong Liutang, Vice President of BTBU, and Liu Minhua, Vice President of BTBU, attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Vice President Gong Liutang.

During the meeting, leaders and experts from various universities introduced the characteristics of their respective schools and colleges and the exploration and practice of digital transformation in business administration. They also provided suggestions for the preparation of the 2022 Beijing Business Administration Discipline Academic Development Report. The discussion and exchange were lively, with focus on how to achieve interdisciplinary integration of disciplines, the integration of industry, academia, and research, the digitalization of disciplines, the construction of a distinctive theoretical system of business administration with Chinese characteristics, and the evaluation system construction.

The seminar clarified the direction and tasks of the development and construction of the business administration discipline, contributing to the refinement of talent training characteristics in the discipline and the promotion of digital transformation in business education.
