Recently, the collaborative paper Top Management Team Power in China: Measurement and Validation by Professor Wang Bin, Professor Mao Xinshu of Business School, Professor Ke Bin of the National University of Singapore, and Professor Zorro of Cornell University was officially published in Management Science. Management Science is an internationally recognized top management journal and one of the 24 internationally recognized authoritative journals of economic management of UT DALLAS.
This research originates from related research topics in the state-owned assets of the Management Collaborative Innovation Center of BTBU. As an important cooperative research, it focuses on the basic problem of power measurement theory and methods in the senior management team (TMT) of our country.
This study is the first time a comprehensive measure was put forward and verified for executive power for listed companies in the Asian market, including China, laying a theoretical foundation and scientific method for measuring the power distribution and influence of the company's senior management team. It has great practical significance. Management practitioners and industry practitioners can use this power measure to quickly understand the power ranking of senior management team members in business transactions so as to design more effective negotiation strategies.
