On the afternoon of April 3, the second meeting of the third council and the expanded meeting of the president of the Beijing Educational Accounting Society were held at our university. Xu Dandan, a member of the University Party Committee, Vice President, and President of the Beijing Educational Accounting Society, Fan Zhongwei, Director of the Support Cooperation Department of the Beijing Municipal Education Commission and Secretary-General of the Beijing Educational Accounting Society, along with more than 60 vice presidents, directors, supervisors, and some member representatives attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Secretary-General Fan Zhongwei. Lv Su Xiang, Director of the Planning and Finance Department, and He Yurun, Dean of the Business School, participated in the meeting.

The meeting was divided into two stages: the second meeting of the third council and the expanded meeting of the president.

During the second meeting of the third council, in accordance with the provisions of the "Constitution of the Beijing Educational Accounting Society," Comrade Liu Yongxiang was unanimously approved as the legal representative of the society upon the recommendation of President Xu Dandan and the vote of the council. Secretary-General Fan Zhongwei briefly introduced the work plan for 2024, pointing out that as a social organization for financial accounting management in the Beijing education field, the purpose of the society is to serve its members. First, to provide a platform for members and member units to learn, communicate, and improve, liberate thoughts, and innovate ways of learning and communication; second, to play the role of a think tank, conduct in-depth research, and provide valuable references and support for government decision-making; third, to leverage the advantages of the society to research and formulate industry standards that the government has not yet established or does not need to establish, but are needed in management; fourth, to strive to solve practical problems and give members a sense of gain. The society innovates its management methods, dividing the 195 member units into five groups according to the nature of the units: central colleges and universities, municipal colleges and universities, vocational colleges, basic education, and other institutions for management. Finally, participants were asked to provide suggestions and opinions by filling out forms.

During the expanded meeting of the president, members listened to the financial work report by Secretary-General Fan Zhongwei and the announcement of the society's work group, the division of labor in the secretariat, and other situations, and conducted a heated discussion on the development and work plan of the society. Everyone unanimously agreed with the work plan for 2024 proposed by Secretary-General Fan Zhongwei and highly recognized the innovative model of group management. They look forward to the society giving full play to the role of the exchange platform, making the society a link, effectively carrying out cross-exchanges between central colleges and universities, municipal colleges and universities, vocational colleges, basic education, and directly affiliated institutions; they highly value the role of the society as a think tank, hoping to make full use of the advantages of the society's resources, form a joint force, conduct in-depth investigations and research on some hot and key issues, and produce high-quality results to report to the higher administrative departments, providing references and support for decision-making, solving practical problems, and promoting the reform of educational finance. Participants suggested focusing on the different needs of different types of financial personnel among members, strengthening the pertinence of training with problem-oriented, innovating training forms, enriching training content, and giving members a sense of gain.

President Xu Dandan made a concluding speech. She affirmed that the meeting was rich in content and fully discussed, and it was very successful. She expressed her heartfelt thanks to everyone! She congratulated Comrade Liu Yongxiang on being unanimously approved as the legal representative by the council! She fully affirmed the opinions and suggestions put forward by everyone in the discussion, such as thematic discussions, expanding training content, cross-group exchanges, and conducting in-depth research to form think tank reports, and asked to record these opinions and suggestions and respond in due course. She pointed out that the society should adhere to the purpose of serving the competent departments, serving members, and serving the reform and development of Beijing's education, and work together with members to make solid efforts, so that the work of the society will reach a new level and contribute to the high-quality development of Beijing's educational cause.
