Recently, the Education Working Committee of the Beijing Municipal Committee and the Municipal Education Commission announced the excellent demonstration project of the "Double Hundred Action Plan" for the development of the new era of Beijing University teachers and students service in 2023. The college student social practice project headed by Gu Yujia, an undergraduate of Business School, was awarded the outstanding project of the student group of the "Double Hundred Action Plan" in 2023.

The ‘Double Hundred Action Plan’ is a research and practice activity organized by the Beijing Municipal Committee for Education and the Municipal Education Commission in conjunction with the relevant commissions and bureaus of the city for teachers and students of colleges and universities, with the ‘Double Hundred’ meaning one hundred social research projects for young teachers and one hundred social practice projects for young students. Focusing on the major issues of the development of the capital in the new era, in-depth study and implementation of the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress, unremittingly using Xi Jinping's thought of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era to mould the soul and educate the people, constructing a pilot area for comprehensive reform of the ‘Great Civic and Political Science Classes’ with the theme of practical teaching, promoting the organic combination of the small classroom of Civic and Political Science and the large classroom of the society, and guiding the teachers and students of the universities to consciously It also guides university teachers and students to consciously integrate into and serve the new development pattern, give full play to their intellectual advantages to help Beijing's economic and social development, and take practical actions to help the capital's development in the new era. The ‘Double Hundred Action Plan’ encourages young faculty members to give full play to their academic expertise, focus on the planning and development of the capital city, social governance, scientific and technological innovation, education reform, cultural preservation, livelihood protection, ecological construction, and the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region to carry out investigations and research, and to provide advice and suggestions for the Party and the country; and encourages young students to turn their love for the Party and patriotism into practical actions to serve the capital city and the country. Following the application process and subsequent review by the colleges, our institution will recommend a total of six projects for teachers and students to engage in during 2023. Based on organizing the selected team to conduct comprehensive social research practices, one student team from our school has been recognized as an exemplary demonstration project in the 2023 excellent project list published after expert evaluation organized by the Municipal Education Working Committee.
The award-winning initiative commenced independently, diligently adhering to its project plan while extensively conducting social research and practice through both online and offline methods. Utilizing Jiahe Village in Liulihe Town, Fangshan District, Beijing—an area with a longstanding cooperative relationship—as its practical destination, it focuses on two primary themes: "industrial revitalization alongside business rejuvenation" and "cultural revitalization coupled with civilized village aesthetics." The initiative is dedicated to actively engaging in specialized social practices through field research, e-commerce marketing strategies, personnel training programs, preparation for picking festivals, promotion of pear festival highlights, establishment of social practice bases, production of promotional videos featuring Jingbai pears from Jiahe Village, as well as designing cultural and creative products. This approach aims to innovate traditional pear sales methodologies while fostering a vibrant atmosphere for disseminating pear culture. In addition to supporting rural development initiatives in suburban Beijing areas, it strives to create a win-win scenario that promotes student growth alongside talent cultivation within businesses. Throughout this practical endeavor, the project has exemplified the commendable spirit of our school's faculty and students who are committed to national service while contributing their expertise based on real-world applications. Furthermore, this initiative received the Excellence Award under the 2023 Action Plan for Rural Revitalization Services provided by Teachers and Students at Capital Universities.

All relevant departments and colleges of the university do a good job in support services from the formation of the team, process guidance and financial security, etc., will continue to implement the fundamental task of cultivating morality, the declaration and organization of the ‘Double Hundred Plan of Action’ as an effective platform to deepen the ‘three full cultivations of people’.
