Business School carries out special education on ideals and beliefs for the freshmen of 2023 graduate students

To enhance ideological and political guidance for young individuals and encourage their adherence to the Party's principles, on October 30, Business School held a thematic educational session on ideals and beliefs for the incoming class of 2023 graduate students, in line with admission education requirements. Fu Shilun, Secretary of the Party Committee at business school, Zhang Qian, Deputy Secretary, along with new graduate students from 2023 participated in this initiative. Graduate counselor Pan Meng presided over the meeting.

At the beginning of the event, Pan Meng introduced leaders and participants while emphasizing the importance of firm ideals among youth. He encouraged students to develop a correct worldview and values; aspiring to be exemplary youths who possess ideals, embrace responsibility, endure hardships, and strive diligently.

During this session, Fu Shilun began by showing an official promotional video about our school for new graduate students. This helped attendees understand Beijing Technology and Business University’s history and academic offerings while congratulating them on their successful transition into our institution. He then shared personal experiences during his postgraduate studies through three anecdotes aimed at inspiring continuous learning to contribute meaningfully to their homeland; he also wished that they form like-minded friendships within Beijing Technology and Business University as they progress together academically.
Immediately after, Fu Shilun started his report with the topic of ‘Concentrating on the Soul with Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era - Thematic Educational Activity for the General Members of the Youth League and Young People’. The report mainly focused on the birth of early youth organizations, the creation of the Chinese Socialist Youth League, the development of the Communist Youth League under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, and General Secretary Xi's expectations and requirements for young people in the new era. He recounted the difficult history of the establishment of the early youth league organization and shared the romantic story behind the Tao Ran Ting; gave examples of how the pioneers created the youth league with no regrets for their firm ideals and beliefs; introduced the glorious development of the Chinese Communist Youth League under the correct leadership of the CPC; and encouraged the young comrades present with the words of General Secretary Xi to achieve the ‘six requirements’. With the words of the General Secretary, he encouraged the young comrades present to achieve the ‘six requirements’ - to set up a lofty ideal, love the great motherland, take up the responsibility of the times, have the courage to sharpen their struggles, develop excellent skills, and cultivate their moral character.
Business School’s initiative aims primarily at motivating new graduate students to form sound convictions while nurturing patriotism—encouraging them not only to shoulder responsibilities but also equip themselves intellectually with innovative theories from our Party—ultimately aspiring to become exemplary youths embodying idealism coupled with resilience.
