On March 20, the special meeting on branch work of the China Accounting Society was successfully held at Beijing Technology and Business University. Shu Huihao, Director of the Accounting Department of the Ministry of Finance and Executive Vice President of the China Accounting Society, and Guo Jianhua, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Beijing Technology and Business University, attended the meeting and delivered speeches. The main persons in charge of various branches of the China Accounting Society, including Wang Huacheng, Zhang Shaofeng, Zhao Dewu, Liu Feng, Wang Pengcheng, Yang Xiongsheng, Wu Liansheng, Zhao Lisheng, Song Xianzhong, Chen Zhibin, Zhang Qi, Tan Jingsong, Zhang Xinmin, Zhu Weidong, Liu Xing, and Jin Qinglu, as well as Liu Guoqiang and Xu Haoran, Deputy Secretaries-General of the secretariat of the China Accounting Society, Mao Xinshu, a member of the Party Committee and Vice President of Beijing Technology and Business University, Professors Xie Zhihua and Wang Bin of the accounting discipline, the entire leadership team of the Business School, Deputy Director of the Planning and Finance Office Zhang Weihua, and more than 40 experts and scholars from universities such as Renmin University of China, Wuhan University, University of International Business and Economics, Southwest University of Finance and Economics, Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, Dongbei University of Finance and Economics, and Beijing Technology and Business University, attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Liu Guangzhong, Secretary-General of the China Accounting Society and a first-level inspector of the Accounting Department.

At the opening ceremony, Director Shu Huihao congratulated the successful holding of the special meeting on branch work of the China Accounting Society and put forward three opinions on thoroughly implementing the spirit of the instructions and instructions of the Party Group of the Ministry of Finance and the leadership on doing a good job in the work of the Accounting Society: First, the branches should deeply understand the spirit of the leaders' instructions and implement the requirements of the opinions on strengthening and improving the work of the Accounting Society in the new era, striving to create new achievements that are worthy of the times and the entire academic community. Second, the heads of the branches should strengthen their sense of responsibility, perform their duties seriously, and promote the vigorous development of the accounting academic cause. Third, all members of the branches should raise their political stance, firmly establish a bottom-line thinking, and truly abide by discipline and rules. Director Shu Huihao hopes that the branches will focus on the overall situation, build consensus, widely unite accounting workers across the country, focus on Chinese-style modernization and the central work of finance, and make new and greater contributions to promoting the high-quality development of China's accounting academic cause.

President Guo Jianhua extended a warm welcome and sincere thanks to the experts and scholars attending the meeting in his speech. He pointed out that as a key high-level research university constructed by Beijing Municipality, Beijing Technology and Business University aims to build a high-level research university with characteristics in business, light industry, and food, and unswervingly follows the connotation development path of "strengthening business, refining engineering, integrating industry and commerce, and dual-wheel drive." The university's accounting discipline actively focuses on major issues such as accounting standards, state-owned enterprise reform, and investor protection, taking the initiative to serve the development of the country and the capital Beijing, contributing wisdom to the formulation of accounting standards and performance management. Accounting, as the foundation of macroeconomic management and market resource allocation, faces a rare development opportunity. It is hoped that the experts and scholars attending the meeting will actively contribute to the development of Chinese accounting in the new era, jointly promote the construction of China's independent accounting knowledge system, and enhance international discourse power.

The first half of the meeting mainly focused on special discussions on the work tasks of the branches, with the main persons in charge of the branches proposing opinions and suggestions on how to implement the requirements of the "Opinions on Strengthening and Improving the Work of the Accounting Society in the New Era," "China Accounting Society Branch Management Measures," and "China Accounting Society Construction of High-Level Professional Think Tanks Interim Measures."

The second half of the meeting mainly focused on special discussions on the branches' participation in the construction of China's independent accounting knowledge system. The experts discussed how to manage the branches well, establish high-level professional think tanks, and build the goals, content, and division of labor of China's independent accounting knowledge system. Through dialogue and exchange, many professional opinions and suggestions worth thinking about deeply were put forward, bringing new perspectives and inspiration for the development of Chinese accounting.

This seminar is one of the important academic conferences held by our university's accounting discipline. In the future, our university will gather advantageous resources to actively carry out accounting academic research, jointly promote the construction of China's independent accounting knowledge system, and actively serve the important strategic layout of the development of the country and the capital Beijing.
