On May 8th, the Business School Choir, full of energy and confidence, participated in the school’s "May Flowers" Youth Song Gala and the Youth League Commendation Ceremony themed "Strong Nation Revival, Youth Pioneering." The choir showcased the vibrant and dynamic spirit of Business School students, achieving an impressive second place. The Business School also received the "Pioneer Cup" May Fourth Red Flag Youth League Honor for the 2023-2024 academic year. This recognition was presented in celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Republic, the 105th anniversary of the May Fourth Movement, and the 102nd anniversary of the founding of the Communist Youth League of China, and serves as a tribute to the youthful spirit of the nation.

On Stage

With the powerful beats of drums and the red flags flying high, the Business School students take the stage with full enthusiasm and pride! Listen—the resounding voices sing of the students' fighting spirit, their fists clenched in unity, forging ahead together to achieve brilliance. The song "Victory Song" resonates with strong, inspiring notes, reflecting the belief in youthful vigor and determination to conquer new frontiers and succeed in the new era! Look—the veteran students in camouflage and the young scholars full of ambition! Growing up under the red flag, with the five-pointed star engraved on their chests, the red of the Business School represents China’s red!

“Facing the sunlight of dreams, we sail through the waves; facing the sunlight of dreams, we sing with joy.” Youth should always move towards the sun. The song "Sunlight of Dreams" captures the grandeur of dreams illuminated by sunlight, showcasing the vibrant spirit and grand responsibility of the Business School students! Under the sunlight, there is a passion for journeying across mountains and seas; under the sunlight, dreams shine brilliantly! This is the tireless, forward-moving youth of the Business School, a symbol of victorious glory and hopeful dreams!

Audience

"Business School is the best, I’m the brightest!" Flowers weave on stage, and red flags wave in the audience. The Business School students come together with unity and strength, with performers on stage confidently soaring and skirts twirling; the audience below cheers loudly, and applause echoes! The trophy is never held by one person alone; it belongs to everyone at the Business School who has put in hard work and dedication.

Preparation

"May" flowers bloom in the corners of the campus and even more so in the hearts of the Business School students—having seen the cool moonlight of the night and the scorching sun of midday, more than a month of rehearsals have been dedicated to showcasing the charm of “Business School Red” at this moment! The rehearsals have been supported by the warm presence and encouragement of school leaders and teachers, as well as meticulous design and guidance from those in charge. During the rehearsals, we used the song of youth to display our positive, serious, and meticulous attitude; we expressed our determination to lead the trend and face challenges; and we demonstrated our ambition to accumulate strength and pursue goals. We firmly believe that we will shine brightly on the stage of youth!

Award Ceremony

During the awards and recognition segment, the Business School Choir achieved a commendable second place. The Business School Youth League Committee was honored with the 2023 "Pioneer Cup" May Fourth Red Flag Youth League Committee award. The Financial Management Class 222 Youth League Branch received the "Pioneer Cup" May Fourth Red Flag Youth League Branch award. Gan Wenqian and 15 others were recognized as "Pioneer Cup" Outstanding Youth League Cadres, and Wei Qi and 24 others were honored as "Pioneer Cup" Outstanding Youth League Members. It is hoped that the award-winning groups and individuals will cherish their honors and continue to achieve great results. The Business School youth should look up to these role models, use them as motivation, and unleash their potential. They are encouraged to contribute their youthful strength towards the creation of "Double First-Class" disciplines and the comprehensive development of a high-level research-oriented university, supporting the nation's construction and the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation with their dedication and commitment.
