From December 14 to 16, 2023, the '2023 (First) Electronics Industry Supply Chain Annual Meeting,' sponsored by the China Federation of Logistics and Procurement and organized by its Electronics Supply Chain Branch in collaboration with Shenzhen Anpu Da Xin Electronics Co., Ltd. and Jingdong Enterprise Business, was successfully held in Shenzhen.
With the theme 'Cross-cycle · Stable Development · Seeking Growth,' this meeting aimed to implement objectives from the 14th Five-Year Plan, enhance modernization and global competitiveness of China's electronics industry supply chain, and promote high-quality development. Over 1,000 participants—including association leaders, experts, scholars, and representatives from electronics supply chain companies—engaged in discussions on consumer electronics supply chains, automotive electronics, energy and industrial electronics, computing industries, information communication sectors, and semiconductors.
Professor Lu Qiang from Beijing Technology and Business University participated in this annual meeting as a host for a roundtable dialogue titled 'Building a Safe and Robust Automotive Electronics Supply Chain Ecosystem' at the Automotive Electronics Supply Chain Development Forum. This roundtable included five guests from research institutions who discussed current conditions within automotive electronics supply chains; they addressed existing risks while exploring future developments. The importance of establishing reliable supply chain partnerships alongside effective information security systems was emphasized during these discussions.
To foster innovation within the electronic industry's supply chain while enhancing operational efficiency—the Electronics Industry Supply Chain Branch under China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing was established on July 28th ,2023. This branch will collaborate with leading enterprises to develop an industry purchasing manager index as well as price indices; it also aims to formulate standards specific to electronic industries ecosystems. The China Electronics Industry Supply Chain Annual Conference is one of the most influential events in this field; it serves as a grand ceremony uniting prominent figures such as entrepreneurs and academics both domestically and internationally. At the annual meeting, Professor Lu Qiang of the College was hired as a member of the council of the Electronics Industry Supply Chain Branch of the China Federation of Logistics Purchasing.
