On June 28, Professor Fu Guoqun, Doctoral Supervisor of the Department of Marketing of the Guanghua School of Management at Peking University, the President of the China Marketing Association of University, and the former Editor-in-chief of the Journal of Marketing Science, was invited to give a lecture at BTBU Business School. The lecture was titled "Research on Chinese Urban Family Wedding Consumption". BTBU Vice Chancellor Professor Xie Zhihua attended the lecture, and Professor Mao Xinshu, Dean of the Business School, presided over the lecture.
Professor Fu emphasized the importance of qualitative research in academic research and described in detail the research process of identifying phenomena from qualitative research, discovering problems through descriptive research, and testing hypotheses through empirical research. The rigorous research ideas inspired attendees. During the questioning session, our faculty staff and students actively communicated with Professor Fu, which pushed the lecture to a small climax and further reflected the significance of the academic exchange.
