She has received numerous accolades including being named a school-level young and middle-aged backbone teacher, an excellent Party member, and an outstanding postgraduate tutor at Capital University of Economics and Business. Her extensive teaching experience encompasses subjects such as "Management," "Service Marketing," "Marketing," and "Business Ethics."
The theme of Professor Huang's lecture centered around “Reflections on Creating Classroom Instruction with Warmth, Attitude, and Professionalism.” To begin with, she reflected upon her academic journey while addressing why classroom instruction is paramount. Drawing from typical cases in business ethics courses alongside marketing classes over her years in education practice; she shared valuable insights accumulated throughout her teaching career. Initially emphasizing that infusing “warmth” into classrooms is essential—she articulated that fostering positive relationships with students is crucial in cultivating a conducive learning environment. By engaging with students through interaction—demonstrating care—and exhibiting approachability—the rapport between educators and learners can be strengthened; thus, encouraging active participation from students while guiding them towards critical thinking development. Above all else lies her commitment to being a responsible educator focused on student growth.
Moreover, Professor Huang provided unique perspectives regarding “professionalism.” She asserted business school instructors must not only possess robust theoretical foundations but also remain attuned to contemporary developments within their fields—constantly enhancing their pedagogical skills while bridging theory with practical application during instruction sessions. Ultimately she urged attendees to embody “attitude,” stressing that educators should prioritize both professional appearance along with assisting students in establishing sound values & ethics which serve as vital cornerstones for their future careers across various sectors.
Throughout this enlightening session; Professor Huang engaged deeply with attending faculty members showcasing her passion for education—a discourse rich in substance inciting vigorous discussions amongst participants who left feeling enriched by these invaluable experiences—with high expectations set forth regarding how they might integrate these lessons into their own instructional practices moving forward.
