Business School holds the opening ceremony for the 2024 Spring Training Class for Aspiring Party Members

On March 27, the opening ceremony for the Spring 2024 Party Membership Training Class at the School of Business Party School was grandly held at the Liangxiang Main Campus. The ceremony was attended by Fu Shilun, Party Secretary and Principal of the Party School of the School of Business; Zhang Yue, Party Deputy Secretary and Vice Principal of the Party School; Qi Fei, Organizer; and 243 Party membership aspirants in Hall B. The ceremony was hosted by Pan Meng, the Party Building Counselor.

The opening ceremony commenced with the solemn playing of the national anthem.


Zhang Yue delivered the opening mobilization speech, extending congratulations to the Party membership aspirants attending this training session. She outlined three key requirements for them:

1. Correct Motives and Firm Beliefs: Aspirants should have a correct motivation for joining the Party and a firm belief in their ideals. They need to establish a resolute commitment to dedicating their lives to the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics and integrate the thought of serving the people wholeheartedly into their personal development and growth.

2. In-depth Study of Xi Jinping’s Thought: They should deeply study Xi Jinping’s Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, actively engage in thoughtful reflection, integrate learning with practice, and solidify their ideological foundation for future Party membership.

3. Seize New Era Opportunities: Aspirants should seize the opportunities of the new era and embody the qualities of responsible youth. They should listen to and follow the Party’s guidance, align themselves with exemplary Party members around them, and strive to join the Party as soon as possible.


Zhu Huilin from the Accounting Class 212 represented the part-time counselors of the Party School. She expressed that, as the baton of the era is passed on, young students should strive forward and jointly write a new chapter for the times. She encouraged all trainees not only to attend all learning activities on time, actively participate in discussions, speak up enthusiastically, and thoroughly understand the material after class to improve their learning outcomes, but also to cherish the learning opportunity, be self-disciplined, and abide by the rules. On behalf of all part-time counselors, she assured the leaders, teachers, and trainees that they would diligently fulfill their responsibilities and help the trainees successfully complete the training tasks.


Yu Jiaxuan from Accounting Class 232 represented the trainees of the Party School. She expressed the aspiration to “actively align with the Party organization and strive to join the Communist Party of China as soon as possible.” She stated the importance of deeply understanding the standards for Party members as outlined in the Party Constitution, consciously accepting organizational training, education, and assessment, actively reporting her thoughts to the Party organization, participating diligently in Party classes, and studying earnestly. She emphasized that, as a business student, she aims to be diligent in her studies, fearless in the face of work challenges, and helpful in daily life.

The opening ceremony concluded with the melodious playing of the "Internationale."


After the opening ceremony, Fu Shilun delivered the first Party class. Titled “Revisiting the Party's Glorious Century-Long Journey and Reflecting on the Original Mission Through the Party Oath; Resolute in Striving and Blooming with Brilliant Youth,” the class explored the important topic of “How to Become a New Era Youth Capable of Shouldering the Responsibility of National Rejuvenation.”

Fu Shilun provided a detailed explanation of the Party's spirit of progress and self-revolution, using the “Four ‘Y’” framework to describe how new youth can excel:

1. With the Party’s Spirit as a Standard: Set high ideals and become a new youth with “light in the eyes.”

2. Inherit the Red Spirit as a Mission: Shoulder great responsibilities and become a new youth with “responsibility on the shoulders.”

3. Cultivate Character Through Party History: Endure hardships to achieve dreams and become a new youth with “dedication and achievement.”

4. Drive Development with Practical Spirit: Be pragmatic and advance further, becoming a new youth with “a clear path ahead.”

He emphasized the importance of living up to the youthful pledge of “Rest assured, Party, I will strengthen the country,” striving to be idealistic, responsible, hardworking, and determined in the new era. He encouraged the trainees to become capable of shouldering the responsibility of national rejuvenation.

Following the class, trainees expressed that their understanding of the Party had deepened and their determination to align with the Party organization had strengthened. They hoped to further enhance their sense of responsibility, improve their enthusiasm and capabilities through training, firmly grasp the Party’s principles and requirements through practical actions, set an example with the pioneering spirit of Party members, and strive to join the Party organization as soon as possible, contributing their youth to the Party and the people, and making contributions to the development of the capital and the country.
