Business School Establishes New Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center for Emerging Business Disciplines!

On April 10th, the inauguration ceremony of the New Business Discipline Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center of the Business School was held in Liangxiang. Attendees included Fu Shilun, Party Committee Secretary of the Business School, Zhang Yue, Deputy Party Committee Secretary of the Business School, Zhao Xiaomeng, cadre of the University Youth League Committee, Wu Yue, Director of the New Business Discipline Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center and Associate Professor of the Organization Management Department, Jin Dongmei, Deputy Director and Associate Professor of the Organization Management Department, Sun Xiaoran, Deputy Director and Lecturer of the Organization Management Department, and more than 30 students. The meeting was presided over by Li Jiaxin, a counselor of the Business School.


Fu Shilun, Party Committee Secretary of the Business School, emphasized in his speech that university innovation and entrepreneurship are crucial for promoting the construction of an educational powerhouse and driving the development of new quality productive forces. The Party Committee of the College adheres to the fundamental task of cultivating morality and talent, places great importance on college students' innovation and entrepreneurship education, and follows the concept of "strengthening business disciplines, refining engineering disciplines, integrating business and engineering, and dual-wheel drive". It leads with the digital transformation of the school's business disciplines and innovatively constructs the New Business Discipline Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center. Fu Shilun fully affirmed the preliminary preparations for the center and put forward requirements for its construction: First, coordinate and play a bridging role. Build a co-creation platform to enhance the cohesion of all teachers and students in the college and stimulate the convergence of scientific and innovative momentum. Second, collaborate and highlight the advantages of scientific innovation education. Emphasize the integrated development of education, science and technology, and talent, and strengthen the collaborative efforts of the three major departments of the college, scientific research, and the platform business management center. Third, base on digital business disciplines to support the "Double First-Class" construction. Adhere to the distinctive advantages of new business disciplines, create a characteristic scientific innovation brand of the Business School, cultivate academic and technological innovation and entrepreneurship talents, and contribute the wisdom and strength of the Business School to the realization of the school's "Double First-Class" and the construction of a high-level research university.


Zhang Yue, Deputy Party Committee Secretary of the Business School, awarded the plaque to the New Business Discipline Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center and said in her speech that the center revolves around the new business discipline characteristics of the college, takes innovation and entrepreneurship education as the carrier, creates a "Joint 'Business' Youth Innovation" quality project, and cultivates "Business Innovation +" interdisciplinary compound talents with the characteristics of the Business School. In the future, the center will strengthen internal and external "joint answers to the same question", mobilize students to participate in competitions, form competition guidance teams, incubate high-quality competition projects, and strengthen cooperation with enterprises. This will empower the "creation" ideas of Business School students and provide strong support for the landing of scientific and innovative projects, allowing more Business School students to stimulate their youthful vitality on the stage of innovation, thinking, creativity, and entrepreneurship.

Wu Yue, Director of the New Business Discipline Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center and Associate Professor of the Organization Management Department, expressed gratitude to the leaders and teachers who care about and support the college's scientific innovation work in her speech. She vividly narrated her experiences in guiding student competitions, cultivating innovation and entrepreneurship talents, and promoting the development of student scientific innovation work from the perspective of innovation and entrepreneurship courses. She stated that competitions are an important milestone on the road to growth, talent, and career development for every business student. She encouraged teachers and students to base themselves on business disciplines, cross disciplines, use technological innovation as an engine, actively participate in innovation and entrepreneurship competitions, and contribute to the high-quality development of new business discipline talent cultivation.


The leaders of the "Challenge Cup" main track Business School advancement teams, "Ink Adherence" and "Silicon" · "Lithium" for Capacity - Graphene-based Lithium-ion Capacitor team, and "Breath of Life" - Portable Oxygen Generator for High Altitude Soldiers team, made comprehensive and in-depth presentations of their projects. They focused on technological innovation, closely integrated market demand, actively explored solutions to key social development issues, and fully demonstrated the pragmatic and innovative spirit of Business School students, showing the style of the new era's new youth.


Zhao Xiaomeng, a teacher from the University Youth League Committee, fully affirmed the achievements of the two teams, and provided guidance and suggestions on product technology, market promotion, and core competitiveness assessment. He also gave the first "Challenge Cup" event training course, focusing on the competition rules, policy highlights, participation matters, preparation focus, and project proposal writing of the 2024 "Challenge Cup" Capital College Students' Entrepreneurship Plan Competition, providing detailed interpretation and patient guidance. After the training, teachers and students actively interacted, asked questions, and expressed their intention to combine their majors to study and explore projects, understand national conditions and social conditions, enhance social capabilities, leverage professional advantages, improve practical abilities, cultivate interdisciplinary perspectives, and continuously stimulate innovative spirit, entrepreneurial consciousness, and creative thinking, contributing to the school's realization of "Double First-Class" and high-level research university.
