Overview
The Business Administration major originated from the “Business Enterprise Management” program established by the former Beijing Business School in 1980. In 1993, it was renamed “Enterprise Management,” and that same year, the “International Enterprise Management” major was newly established. In 1999, these two majors were merged into the “Business Administration” major. The corresponding graduate program, “Enterprise Management,” began admitting master’s students in 1980 and was approved as an independent master’s program in 1989. The major of Business Administration was designated as a key program by the Ministry of Domestic Trade and was approved as a Beijing Key Development Major in 2002. The program began offering a second bachelor’s degree in 2003 and launched bilingual and dual-degree classes in 2006. In 2015, it implemented the “Dual-Campus Program,” jointly conducted by municipal universities and central universities in Beijing, to cultivate outstanding students. Currently, the program has 20 full-time faculty members, including 5 professors, 10 associate professors, and 5 lecturers. Fourteen faculty members hold doctoral degrees, 17 are master’s supervisors, and one is a doctoral supervisor. The faculty includes one recipient of the Ministry of Education’s “New Century Excellent Talent” award and one Beijing Young and Middle-aged Key Teacher. Over 10 faculty members have experience in overseas study or advanced training.
