Overview

BTBU is a high-level research-oriented university under key construction in Beijing. Its predecessor, Beijing Business School, was one of the earliest higher education institutions established after the founding of the People’s Republic of China, dedicated to training economic and management professionals. It was one of the first institutions approved by the State Council to confer master’s degrees. The university has now developed into a multidisciplinary institution with a comprehensive range of disciplines, including science, engineering, economics, management, literature, law, and arts. It aims to achieve the development goal of a distinctive high-level research university based on the principles of “Distinctive, Connotation, Norms, and Quality.”

The BTBU MBA Education Center adheres to the school motto of “Pursuing Truth and Upholding Virtue Through Diligence and Innovation.” Through business case analysis, simulation exercises, corporate visits, business thinking and skills training, the center aims to broaden students’ horizons and cultivate intermediate and advanced management talents with digital thinking, innovative spirit, a strong sense of responsibility, and professional ethics. Since its inception, the MBA program has produced over a thousand outstanding management professionals and has established a comprehensive teaching and practical system.

The BTBU MBA program features a robust and comprehensive curriculum. It includes core courses in management, economics, and law, as well as specialized courses in “Digital Management,” “Service Management and Marketing,” and “Accounting and Finance.” These courses cover a wide range of professional subfields, including modern services, finance, the internet industry, modern retail, high-tech industries, and modern manufacturing. The program effectively combines the stability of classic disciplines with the forefront of professional development, offering students extensive choices.

Program Features

1. Customized Cultivating Scheme

The MBA program adheres to the concept of “moving from mass talent production to personalized training.” It creates tailored training programs based on the characteristics and aspirations of each student. The program features a four-part personalized curriculum system comprising “Theoretical Method Courses,” “Core Degree Courses,” “Expanded Degree Courses,” and “Specialized Module Courses,” with a substantial proportion of practical training integrated into the coursework. This approach ensures that students can apply what they learn immediately and benefit from practical application.

2. Dual Mentor Cultivating Pattern

The MBA program implements a “Dual Mentor Cultivating Pattern” with “Academic Mentors + Corporate Mentors.” Each student is guided by an academic mentor from the university and a corporate mentor from outside the university. The academic mentor focuses on academic and thesis guidance, while the corporate mentor provides support in career planning and professional experience. BTBU invites renowned external experts and business managers to serve as practice mentors, allowing students to engage in short-term corporate practices and gain extensive and precise professional connections.

3. Practical Cultivating Pathway

The MBA program places significant emphasis on integration with the capital economic circle. It maintains close cooperation with major economic enterprises in the capital, such as Beijing Capital Retailing Group, Beijing Tourism Group, Capital Group, China First Capital Group Limited, Capital Energy Group, Beijing Capital Agriculture Group, and Beijing Capital Highway Development Group Co., Ltd., establishing internship and practice teaching bases in collaboration with these enterprises. What is particularly noteworthy is the “Themed Corporate Practice” activity, where students deeply engage in corporate practice projects, serve as think tanks, and contribute to enterprise development.
