Management Science and Engineering

Overview

The Management Science and Engineering program originated in the early 1980s, with the establishment of masters programs in logistics management and management engineering in the mid-1980s. In 1998, the State Council Degree Office approved the establishment of the Master’s program in Management Science and Engineering at BTBU. This program emphasizes the use of quantitative research methods and strives to integrate qualitative and quantitative approaches, focusing on solving practical management issues. A distinctive feature of the program is the extensive involvement of students in research projects and academic exchanges during their studies, fostering their research capabilities, international perspectives, and organizational management skills. The program’s key research directions include Logistics and Supply Chain Management, and Decision Making and Optimization, supported by top-tier experts and research teams in the field. In recent years, the program has received accolades such as National-level Distinctive Major and National Excellent Teaching Team.
